"Matras" kussentje

Al heel vaak is mij gevraagd "hoe maak je een matras speldenkussentje"? Dus voor iedereen die graag zo'n kussentje wil maken en niet weet hoe, een uitleg (tutorial) met foto's.

People ask me often "how do you make a mattress pincushion? So for anyone who would like to make a mattress pincushion, here is a tutorial with pictures.

Eerst het kussentje.

First the cushion

Tutorial

Neem het borduurwerkje dat je wilt gebruiken en maak rondom een

steekjesrand,niet te ver van de rand van het borduurwerkje af.

Gebruik twee draadjes borduurgaren van dezelfde kleur als je borduurwerkje.

Make stitches around the embroidery and use 2 threads of

flos, same colour as your embroidery.

Knip vervolgens de rand weg tot ongeveer een kleine cm.

Cut of the edges until about 1 cm

Vouw vervolgens de stof om tot aan de steekjesrand

Begin met één kant

Fold the fabric until the edge

Start with one edge

Neem het bandje dat je wilt gebruiken en vouw het eerste stukje dubbel

Take the ribbon that you want to use and double fould the first piece

Begin nu precies op de hoek met het vastnaaien van het bandje

aan de stof, dat doe je zo

Start at the corner and sew the ribbon to the fabric with

small stitches like this

Steek heen onder het rode steekje door in het bandje en weer terug

Gebruik kleine steekjes

Put your needle under the red stitch in the ribbon and back

Use little stitches

Vouw aan het eind de volgende rand om en ga op dezelfde manier verder

At the end fold the next edge and continue in the same way

Ga zo door tot één centimeter voor het eind

Continue up to 1 cm before the end

Knip het bandje af met één centimeter naad

Cut the ribbon, leave 1 cm for folding

Vouw het bandje om tot de hoek en naai het vast

Fold the ribbon until the corner and stitch it to the fabric

Naai de twee hoeken met kleine steekjes aan elkaar

Sew the two corners together with small stitches

Draai dan het dan om en knip nog een stukje van de stof af

Turn it around and cut piece of the edges

Neem nu het stof je voor de achterkant en vouw het als volgt om

Take the fabric for the back and fold it as follow

Plaats het lapje in de hoek en begin met naaien ongeveer één

centimeter voor de hoek

Put the fabric in the corner and start stitching one centimeter

befor the corner

Vouw bij de volgende hoek de stof weer om en naai verder

Fold the fabric at the next corner and continue sewing.

Laat een middenstukje open om te vullen met vulmiddel of lavendel

Leave an opening in the middle for stuffing

Naai het dicht en klaar is je kussentje

Close the opening and ready is your mattress pincushion

Nieuwjaar

Allereerst wens ik jullie allemaal een gezond, liefdevol en creatief 2013! Dank dat jullie met zo velen mijn blog het afgelopen jaar hebben bezocht en zoveel hartelijke en lieve mailtjes, berichtjes en foto's hebben gestuurd. Ook de vele leuke reacties zijn door mij met enthousiasme ontvangen. Alle nieuwe volgers van harte welkom!

Vandaag heb ik alle kerstborduurtjes die in mijn huis en in de winkel hebben gehangen bij elkaar gezocht en er foto's van gemaakt. De doos waar ze in opgeborgen worden staat al klaar, maar misschien blijven ze toch nog even in de winkel hangen, het kan nog wel een paar daagjes. Nog even van genieten. De stapel is ook dit jaar weer groter geworden.

Today I have made pictures of all the Christmas embroideries that were in my house and in the shop this year. The box in which they are stored is already on the table. But maybe I will wait a few more days so I can still enjoy them. My collection of Christmas embroideries has grown again this year.
